Chicago BI User Group

The Chicago SQL BI User Group is an official PASS chapter focusing on Microsoft Business Intelligence and the Azure Data Platform.

Along with the two other existing Chicagoland PASS chapters, our purpose is to help SQL Server and Azure Data Platform professionals connect, learn, and grow through networking opportunities and presentations on Business Intelligence related topics and techniques.

Our group has over 1000 members with a very diversified levels of experience and backgrounds. We strive to make it easy to ask questions and share knowledge in an open and direct manner.

So you want to be a Data Scientist?

  • In-Person @ 200 E Randolph St Suite 200 Chicago, Illinois, United States (map)
  • 17:30 - 19:00 Central Daylight Time
  • Language: English

Does R seem like an alien language to you? Does data science terminology seem overly confusing? Would you like to learn more about data science but are scared of the math? Fact is, you’re probably doing “data science” today. You don’t need to know a lot of R or Python to be an effective data scientist. We’ll cover important terminology and use cases and then dive-in by exploring data with tools you are already using.

Dave Wentzel from 10th Magnitude will be presenting. Pizza will arrive at 5:30 and the meeting will start at 5:45.
